Westington Works – 30-Day Free Trial Terms

Purpose of the trial

The free trial is designed to give new members the chance to experience Westington Works, meet the community and explore how the space can support their work or business.

1. Duration

  • The trial lasts for 30 consecutive days from the agreed start date.
  • Extended trials are not offered unless explicitly agreed in writing.

2. Facilities Included

During the trial period, participants may:

  • Use shared facilities during standard opening hours
  • Attend community events and workshops
  • Display work in the Showroom (subject to availability and approval)

Use of dedicated or private workspaces is subject to prior agreement.

3. Fair Use

To keep the space available for everyone:

  • Trial members should use only the space they reasonably need.
  • Daily use is welcomed, but overnight storage, large equipment or excessive space use must be agreed in advance.
  • Westington Works reserves the right to limit access if usage becomes disproportionate or impacts other members.

4. Conduct & Responsibilities

Trial members are expected to:

  • Treat the facilities, tools and community with respect
  • Follow any health & safety guidance
  • Leave shared areas tidy
  • Not carry out any hazardous activities without permission

5. Review at the End of the Trial

At the end of the 30 days, we will chat about your experience and discuss:

  • What facilities you used most
  • How often you plan to visit
  • What space you may need

From there, we’ll agree on a membership fee that fits fairly with your usage.

6. Ending the Trial Early

Westington Works reserves the right to end the trial early in cases of:

  • Unreasonable use of facilities
  • Repeated failure to follow guidelines
  • Disruptive or unsafe behaviour

This is to protect the space and its community.

7. Liability

Items or equipment left on-site are stored at the member’s own risk. Westington Works does not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings during the trial.

8. Agreement

By applying for a free trial, the applicant confirms that they:

  • Understand these terms
  • Agree to use the facilities in good faith
  • Are open to discussing a membership agreement at the end of the trial
